wednesday:
i had a really nice time in the city today :) i did lots of browsing and text book finding (or in my case, not finding) and some quality me-time.
plus, i got:
(cut: awww caroline just called and asked me what "four squared" is and it actually took me a few seconds hahaha!! she's so cute.)
YAY!
and at monash, outside StaTravel, they have a sign/billboard that says something like: "BRYAN ADAMS, CELINE DION, CANADA HAS A LOT TO ANSWER FOR BUT ITS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE & WORK". LOL!
and then i met up w/ [x]-.-[x] and [-x-] (can't remember the last symbol i used...) and we had lunch in Hardware Ln...never been there before!!! oooh its very posh and all. i had fish and it was very nice and they had a proper 'by mouth' specials menu and everything! i felt so underdressed lmao! and they mostly talked their adult serious stuff, while i come in now and again w/ desperate housewives updates and such (don't u hate it??).
then we got some chocolates from Koko Black which were sooo yumminess!
i was gunna go to alexander gardens...but then just couldn't be stuffed lol next time.
and then i went to Amy's House Concerts! her parents picked me up and we drove to PLC. wow, they were soo talkative and super friendly and really easy to chat to.
the House Concerts are like mini-productions each House needed to produce in like 2 weeks. VERY impressive. w/ no teacher help either.
Amy's House was the best...really funny.
It was weird cos its an all girls school, they had some girls as guys n stuff lol and there seemed to be an extrememly competitive atmosphere there.
anyways, Amy's so nice to chat to and all. and overall a really good night out! tho, i am sooo not karaoke-ing w/ her...she is such a fantastic singer! and musician! she played 'Bad Day' solo on flute..whoa...top stuff.
thursday:
yay! orientation day!
was feeling all pissed off on the bus there...the school kids didn't help, neither did the 45 minute travel time >.< (don't u hate it??)
met Lauren just before going into our Arts intro lecture. the Arts Dean has a kinda Southerrrn accent. yea lecture was ok. and then i lost Lauren cos we went to diff Mock Lecture theatres. (don't u hate it??)
our lecturer talked about Henry Handel Richardson...hmmm and he sed that we'd have a written test at the end so we better take notes...but there wasn't lol! he was so mean.
then we went to our Mock Tute. i started chatting to a grl named Yan. and she was nice, reminded me of Amy. realised i forgot to pick up a student diary on enrolment day lolz. bloody hell..had to walk SEVEN flights to get to our tute room! argh! cos the lifts are incredibly slllloooo sooo i think i might be stairing it a lot during uni... i have a few classes on level 3, one on 5 and one on EIGHT!
had lunch.
then we went club joining! it was soooo hot outside...grrrr. i joined Arts club and French club! woohooo! Balls! and we (could've) got free VB lol. but we got free stubby holders and (melted) Boost bars.
i ran into Doug again...was annoyed at him cos he didn't come with Adam attached (don't u hate it??) and didn't run into Kate either! (don't u hate it??)
then we chatted to Katherine! and oh yea Sophie! and Erin! lol and i had a quick hello/goodbye with Jamie too!
bought some text books...sooooo expensive! soooo heavy!!
then i met up w/ jenny and melissa! and it was soooo lovely seeing them again!! and we chatted soo much! def highlight of the day :) and we planned jen's bday hahha which we will say will be spontaneous and unpredictable. and melissa was lovely and drove us home! :) thanks soooo much!!
then i went home...quite exhausted. and we further planned the bday gathering and i semi-sorted out my paranoia issues and other issues and things in my head that have been bugging me..grrr!
i been trying to use my support system...i tried it on Yan today....didn't help hahahhaa obviously! she frankly didn't care hahaha i don't blame her..she's great for just listening. and eddie's been excellent...hhaha!! bonded thru LJ layouts eh? [x]_._[x] doesn't REALLY care...thats the vibe i'm getting neway...but i def don't blame him at all..cos its def my issue and he has more important stuff to worry about and i respect him for that cos he's already proved how great he is when i really need it :)
and my mum...she's a bit of a two-edged sword (ok, that doesn't sound right..u know what i mean). i consulted her...and then i cried...and she kept going with 'advice' and then someway thru she blamed ME for being too much of a pushover (don't u hate it??)...but i think she meant to say that i can't please everyone which is what i want/ed to do at bbm and stuff. at least i hope she meant that! haha
neways...enuf of that here.
