So I took my three little cousins for an outing to the city today. A 13 year old, 12 year old and 9 year old. It was tiring. The plan was to go to the museum and maybe IMAX. But, the queue at the museum was huge and we just couldn't be bothered. It was a beautiful day out today as well! But yeah, we just went to do a bit of shopping, got some junk food and candy (kids are a great excuse to eat junk food and candy!) and the foozball machine at Barcode was stuffed so we just played that for over an hour for free!
Eric was such a whinge. Guh. Children.
We ended up back at Laura's place in the afternoon just hanging out and that was pretty fun. We played guitar and I fixed up her mini-cute EEE laptop. I must say I absolutely adore Laura's bedroom. It's really girly and creative and bright. And furnished in iKea goods hehe.
Anyway, Caroline and I were sharing jokes that we remembered from the Just For Laughs comedy festival on TV last night and she really liked "that lesbian chick" as well.
Hannah Gadsby. She is SO FUNNY. It's really dry humour - sometimes self-depricating about how she looks. I've only seen about 10 minutes of her all up, but yeah - love her! And even better? Her tickets for the comedy festival are only about $18! So I'm taking Laura and Caroline on Sunday :D
It's funny how I've never been to the Melbourne Comedy Festival before but will end up seeing 4 shows!
TV Stuffs:
Kings. Oh my, have watched the first 5 episodes. I really love it. I think the characters and plot is pretty complex (but not confusing) and I don't think the characters are really fleshed out yet - but that just keeps me wanting to watch more! I don't know if I've said how I'm disappointed that the show doesn't seem to be following the Biblical relationship between David and Jonathan (most possibly more than platonic) but it... doesn't really matter anymore (even though it would be nice...).
Read a few random David/Jack fics but I don't think I think I need to see more episodes which develop the characters more. Because right now, most of the fics' characterisations of David/Jack seem cracky/noncanon to me. Right now to me, I can only see one dimension to them - if that makes sense. David is the boy with the heart of gold and Jack is a fierce bitch haha.
The Listener. I think I watched the first 6 episodes. Because I already had them. I... think I got bored after the 2nd or 3rd episode :( I think it's just too straight forward. IDK *shrugs* The fluffiness of the um, filming exposure? is really annoying to me too.
Barney was totally cute in this week's HIMYM!
A sneak-peek of Season 2 of True Blood was posted (it was shown at a con). It's really weird hearing all the southern-ess again! I remember this bit being in one of the books somewhere (without Jessica) but I still can't remember what's behind the end of
this video!
Oh, and if you haven't seen the
Susan Boyle video. Whoa.
