“Light is essential to life, and also to beauty. Fascinated by this pure miracle of nature, Lancôme has gone further than anyone in understanding its innovative beauty-enhancing powers. For an entire decade, its researchers explored the multiple pathways taken by light within the skin, examined the scientific bases of luminosity and, finally, succeeded in reproducing the aura of a naturally radiant complexion.
In 2010, Lancôme put that precious knowledge - literally - at women’s fingertips with the launch of Teint Miracle foundation, which since its launches has won an impressive number of prestigious awards.
Today, belong side the iconic Teint Miracle, Lancôme reveals a new miracle with a satin luminous finish that enhances the beauty in all environmental conditions. Specifically developed to withstand the extreme heat and humidity of the Asian climate, this exceptional formula promises ultimate wear, allied to the unique luminosity of groundbreaking Aura-InsideTM technology. Tested by Asian women, it has already achieved unprecedented results on all the key criteria of coverage, comfort and staying power.
Introducing:“
My shade is O-02 (I’m a O-03 for Teint Miracle Liquid Foundation, 20 Beige for Chanel).
I found it a little yellow on my hand, but it blends in nicely on my face. Coverage is good too - you can see that my birthmark is covered! Helps to cover redness which I do have on my have on the more sensitive areas.
Each glass bottle contains 30ml of liquid foundation - same size and bottle shape as the Teint Miracle Liquid foundation.
(sorry about the print on the Teint MIracle bottle - I have no idea how it turned out like this, haha)
I’ve been a long time fan and user of Lancome’s Teint Miracle Liquid Foundation because of the natural, glowy finish and radiance it gives me, without caking - but my face has since changed and become much oilier, so I’m pretty glad Lancome came up with the Mat Miracle 24H Liquid foundation!
Mat Miracle gives you a satin matte finish - still natural, like the Teint Miracle, but something in the formula helps your face to stay matte longer… and my oily skin is very grateful for that! I love how lightweight it feels, and it also doesn’t clog up my pores.
Also, the Mat Miracle bottle comes in a matte finish and has a dark cap, with Lancome’s signature rose motif on it.
The Mat Miracle 24H is actually supposed to be the Asian version of the Teint Idole Ultra 24H, which I’ve heard good reviews of and was almost tempted to buy (Stephanie T! You lah!) but didn’t in the end, so sorry, no comparison review! Their bottles are almost identical though - same matte bottle and dark cap - except maybe just a slight difference in pump color. If anyone has both foundations, I’d love to hear a comparison review from you!
Liquid foundation is dispensed by a pump - I find that 3 pumps is enough for the whole face (using a brush to stipple and buff) and I needed about 4-5 pumps when I use a beauty blender to apply .
with zero make up on
I used a beauty blender to apply this - I’ve been loving the beauty blender as an applicator, but it’s a little troublesome as I can’t stand seeing the dirty sponge and it’s kindda bothersome to wash because I don’t have the cleansing solution.
Anyway, I like how the beauty blender applies this. I had two layers on because of the damned blemishes - but I still needed a spot concealer after that, despite the heavy coverage (pimples too 3D and red).
With Lancome’s Mat Miracle on + blemishes concealed!
After some contouring and blusher (i’ve got a round face, no choice, must contour haha)
And we’re all done with make up! (ignore the wet hair please haha)
It contains SPF 15, which is still a little low so I’d recommend using a light sunscreen below it. I like the coverage, I like how light it feels even though it is a medium coverage foundation, and also how it’s not that matte so you don’t end up looking cake-y. I think it’s a great buy for those with oily/combi skin - but if you have a hyper t-zone like mine, then try using a mattifying base under it, on your T-zone. That should help your foundation and make up to last even longer.
So how did it wear?
To be completely fair here, my nose has been EXTREMELY EXTREMELY hyper in producing oil - it is so oily that I have to blot just after 1 hour of application with other foundations but for the Lancome Mat Miracle, I could get about 3-4 hours of wear time before having to blot… and this picture was taken about 5 hours out (I just reached home!) - a quick dinner outside, which involved a 10 minute walk from Bugis Junction to Purvis Street for Yhing Thai (a litle OT, but I loved the food! More about that on another post!) - otherwise, I was mostly in an air-conditioned environment.
No photoshopping, no nothing for this set of photos, so you can see everything - eyebags, eye circles, especially the red horrible zits on my cheek, hahaha.
Here’s how I look like after blotting and a quick cover up with Lancome’s Teint Miracle Pressed Powder!
Swear I did not photoshop this picture, it’s really all make up and lighting! (if I did that I would have sharpened my face as well, hahaha)
