ZA Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation x Tokyo Launch (Ed Tsuwaki Limited Ed Casing)

I’ve always loved the models Shiseido chooses for their ads! Especially Jun Hasegawa!
L-R: Davika Hoorne, Jun Hasegawa, Emma Pei

Did you know… that ZA is from Japan (owned by Shiseido), but has never been launched in Japan, till recently?

It was a little surprising to me as I believe that we’ve all had our first makeup encounters with either ZA or Maybelline - especially ZA’s two way foundation which has been a reliable favorite for many - AND YET, I’ve never known that ZA was made for export only. *gasp*

So finally, after 14 years (it came to Singapore in 1998) - ZA will be conquering all the Donkis in Tokyo!!! (Okay, and every other drugstore la, but Donki’s a personal fave haha)

The old Skin Beauty Two-way foundation has been reformulated and is now known as Perfect Fit Two-Way Foundation.

“Perfectly smoothens pores and brings poreless yet natural effect. Formulated with moisturizing
skincare ingredients,collagen and hyaluronic acid. SPF20 PA++”

ZA has also launched a limited edition casing in commemoration of the launch in Tokyo, and it isspecially designed by Ed Tsuwaki, who is known for his long-necked illustrations of ladies.

Truth to be told, the casing does not exactly appeal to me somehow (much as I like illustrations) - I’d prefer a sleeker case, which will be the non limited edition one.

Original ZA Perfect Fit Two-way Foundation Casing

I was matched to shade OC10.

The casing has rounded edges, a translucent back and a white front cover with the illustration by Ed Tsuwaki.

I have skin which looks really dry if I use powder foundation alone (that is why I have a preference for liquid foundation), so I usually use either Dermalogica’s Skin Perfect Primer or Lancome’s UV BB Complete underneath it as the Lancome UV tends to be a little grey-ish. I love this combination - the powder rests really well over the BB Complete and gives me a good, shine-free and flawless finish for at least 5-6 hours.

Most importantly, the shades have undergone some renaming!
In case you’re confused, here’s a color chart supplied by ZA for you to match the old foundation shade to the new one.

If you’re interested in picking this up, do consider the ZA Nippon Set.
The special ZA Nippon Set contains 2x refills + 1 limited edition Ed Tsuwaki casing, AND a Tote Bag for $33.50 SGD (U.P $60) - promotion ends December or while stocks last - ZA is available exclusively in Watsons.

We were treated to sweet treats at Zero Zero (sister restaurant of Dozo), located in Central Mall (Clarke Quay) and they were really delectable. I’d love to try it out one day when I feel like splurging on dinner, because it isn’t exactly cheap.

Thanks, Shiseido, ZA and Charmian dear! <3
