We get our broadband and phone from Homechoice, through the BT exchange. Remind me to tell you about the month-long NIGHTMARE of fuckups, he-said-she-said, blame-passing, appointment-fucking and general IMBECILITY it took to set that up.
Wonderful letter dear. You will inevitably have to write more over the next year as BT et al upgrade their 2Mb ADSL lines into 8Mb Max lines. So far users have not been told about the ugrades which have then gone wrong and left them without internet access for weeks on end. The two most notorious for fucking these upgrades up being BT and also Wanadoo (now Orange). Unfortunatly once the exchange has been messed up it doesn't matter if you change to a new ISP or not as they will inherit the fault that exists at the exchange. All great and jolly fun.
I had a number of problems upgrding to 2mb broadband. Apparently, after we'd upgraded and I spent a week trying to get it to work, our area can't have it anyway :o/
we were with Bulldog and tried to change the name of the person holding the account. For 2 monthws we kept calling them and going "Uhg, is this changed yet?" "Oh yes, we've done it now" and they never did. Then we found out that although they'd been sending me invoices by email every month, they hadn't been taking any money out of my account. For four months. On top of that, they'd been charging us twice the amount for a static DNS address. So on the 2nd January this year they swiped £133 out of my account without warning and without permission,m as by then we had been telling them the account had been changed into me flatmate'#s name and account adn they should've have had my details on record anymore. So after many calls the said they'd retuirn my money within 10 days. 2 months later I gave up, got the back to give me back the money (as it was done on Direct Debit) and afaik the bank are still chasing Bulldog to get their money back!
You sir, are a literary vigilante of the highest order! I wonder if T-Mo-bile would benefit from this kind of letter since they are still trying to invoice me for a years worth of contract despite cancelling... about a year ago now. They apparently have no record of any conversations or correspondance, so I told them once more in the form of a letter via recorded delivery. Now I am ignoring them since they have definately recieved it.
I've not worked for T-Mobile, but I've worked for Orange. If their at all similar, your letter/s will be under a collection of unwashed coffee mugs and back copies of Heat magazines.

I may just hang myself with the modem cable now.

Wish they'd just told me that in the first place.

I've decided to forward everything that's happened to Watchdog or something so I get to make lots of noise and complain.
I seem to be good at that lately :D

but hey - least you're not with Bulldog ;)
come to think of it - is there actually a decent ISP out there who can deal with their workload efficiently?
