New Plan...Operation xD Is Still a Possibility
Okay, so earlier today I mentioned that I had a plan to get me out of the Violet Vixen. Now I have some time on my hands, so I'll go ahead and explain.
The only way I can get anywhere is for me to continue to pay on the loan of the car, and since the financier of the car (who's name I will not mention) will not assist me any further, I've had no choice but to up the payments on the car to further down the balance. I'm hoping by doing that I will have lowered the owed balance enough to where Weiss will work with me in making a deal. By uping my payments from $342.28 a month to $500 a month (that's $250 bi-weekly), around the middle of September, I will have paid off $2.5K (not counting the interest rate but you get the idea) of the loan. That way, the negative equity that would have been a factor on the new xD would be almost eliminated and that betters my chances of either financing or leasing it.
The other half of the plan involves me not driving the Violet Vixen for that long. This serves two purposes: 1) so that it will decrease the amount of death already panned on it, and 2) to keep the mileage from unnecessarily going up more so that when I do trade it in, I get the most out of the trade-in value. From that time, the Vixen will be stored in my dad's garage and my dad has agreed to let me borrow the truck for that amount of time. So on that front, I'll have to grin and bear having to deal with the Beastie's unforgivable fuel mileage, but the good thing on that is after next week, school is done for the season and I'll be off all summer, so that hampers down on fuel consumption (it'll be straight to work and then back home again).
So that's my plan. I don't know if it will be entirely too effective, but to me it's worth trying to where I might get into a Scion xD sooner rather than much later and me having a dead car and paying off an overpriced loan.
