What's the Word On the Vixen?

Okay, so here's the scoop on my car. Before I went to school today, I took the Vixen back down to AMMCO and told the manager about the weekend issues. Turns out I didn't read something at the bottom of the report that I got back from them. They knew about the A/C compressor being noisy, but the thing is they couldn't do anything about it (and the manager in fact did want to fix it). The only thing they could do was replace the timing belt and recondition a damaged cylinder head. That's all the warranty service department were willing to pay for. Everything else was on my head (and I already confirmed this). So now, the issue still remains with the Check Engine light being on. As it stands, I have to get another diagnostic done on it, and more or less it could come out of my pocket again. What even worse is that there are more issues besides the Check Engine light. Turns out I have exposed and frayed shifting cables, which explains why my shifting is slippery; my right side motor mount is pretty much shot, the wheel bearing on the right side has excessive play in it which causes me to drift to the right...it's just a laundry list of shit wrong with it and for the most part, I'd have to pay all the repairs for it myself.

I swear, why do I always end up buying fucked up vehicles?

More or less, since it's my only ride, I'm going to try to fix it up as best as I can, and at least try to get it back to what KBB considers "good" condition. Currently, it's in "Fair" condition. However, if push comes to shove, it may be time (yet again) to look into another set of wheels...however this time, I'm going to try (try being the keyword here) and buy brand new. I've already started doing research for replacements that are similar, inexpensive, and most important of all, better fuel economical. I have three main choices for a replacement already in mind: 1) Scion xD; 2) Nissan Cube; and 3) Kia Soul. Might add more on to this, but not now. I still have to see what my options with the Cruiser are.

So yeah, that's what's going on with that. I'll keep people updated. Late.
