At Home
Decided to call in sick to work today. Wasn't feeling too good, plus my right shoulder is killing me from leaf collection yesterday. I need a vacation from that place for a week. Wish I could take a trip to somewhere, though. Can't do it now since school is just winding down and the holidays is coming up (which means visiting people would be next to impossible) so I'll just hang on to that two weeks (80+ hours) of vacation time I have yet to use (relax, I won't use it all at once...maybe use forty hours one time and save the rest for later).
In the meantime, Design I is done for the semester and Drawing I comes to a close tonight. I did fairly well on my Design I projects (although my paper mosaic sand dunes didn't come out the way I wanted it to), and for my Drawing I project, we were allowed to use color materials this time, so I invested in some Prismacolor Pastel sticks to do my final project (which I decided to draw this: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d78/Kishikat/Violet_Vixen_1_by_MetaFoxx278copy.png). It came out nicely (because I love working with color) I think, so hopefully Kevin and the rest of my class will think so, too. We're getting critiqued on two pieces: a crosshatching piece that we did two class sessions on (mine was really good I think...Kevin liked it a lot), and the final one. Wish me luck.
