I Just Can't Win...
Okay, net's back up. The modem got here faster than I thought, so I'll be around a while longer.
Okay, back to more Vixen drama. Since I found that nice looking Saturn Vue with the clutch yesterday at Fairview Heights Car Credit City, I decided to scower around the net for any more, and I found quite a bit of them, too! Actually, I found one that was like not too far from where I live at place called Select Auto Company. This is it here It's a buy here, pay here kind of place. I talked to the guy at the place and he let me test drive it...BEST RIDE OF MY LIFE!!! I'm serious dude, that Vue is awesome! It rides smooth, it shifts smooth, it's roomy...it's all I'm looking for in a vehicle! So naturally, I'm seriously hyped about it. But of course there is that one problem that I have, and that problem is...you guessed it...THAT DAMN FORD!!!! I think mentioning the words 93 Ford Ranger STX Supercab is like a curse to auto dealers. I mean, nevermind her obvious injuries. Even if she were a perfectly healthy truck, no matter where I go, I always get the same damn look, and the same damn answer! So what's the maximum this guy's willing to take her for? $300! That's it! That also means that if I were to go that route and use the damn Ford as a down payment on the $5500 Vue, I would have to go to the back, namely the credit union I bank with, and beg for a $5200 loan (and since I'm still paying off the $1200 loan from two years ago to fix that piece of shit transmission, that would present a problem, don't you think). BTW, I called the guy from Car Credit City about the third and higher selling price for the Vixen, and it only came out to $750!!! So, yeah, the range that I'm going to be getting for this piece of shit Ranger is $200 to $750 as a trade in. Now, obviously, that's not enough to amount to a decent down payment...nor a decent trade. So, it seems that no matter which way I go with this, I'm two down, four across, and eight the fuck up (you figure it out)! If I'm ever going to get a new vehicle, no matter what I want, I have to do some monster saving for one. I mean some monster saving! It's going to be months before I'm able to acquire anything!
To put it bluntly...this is nothing but a huge shit sandwich and I'm just going to have to take a bite.
