more bad news...
my sister called me last night and told me that my grandpa died.
he's been having health problems for years and my step-mom has been worried about him. two weeks ago he ended up in the hospital after having horrible pains all over. the doctor said that he had renial failure and needed to be put on medications and dialisis to clean his blood. then he started having heart attacks, and coded 3 times. just before he died, he was pulling himself up and had another heart attack. according to my grandma, his last words were "oh shit!!!" right now, my step-mom is having a horrible time trying to comfort everyone, along with her own grief and taking care of my dad.
he was very fun. he worked at a photo place in downtown Chicago. he would make us posters of our favorate pictures, plus make copies of my sister and i's band pitures for my dad. he also had lots of conections to get tickets to all sorts of fun places. we went to baseball games, cubs and white sox, six flags, water parks, train museum, field museum, the aquarium, etc. he liked to joke with us and loved it when our faces would light up when we got gifts, even if it was just highlighters.
