In the earlier seasons, those cuts stayed there for several episodes. Let's see how long this one stays around.
Honestly, I'm sort of thinking its time to accept that Buffy's forehead is going to get damaged and just scar it over. Slayer healing is nice and all, but shouldn't she have some scars after her eleven years of slaying? At least something more than the little scars on her neck from The Master and Angelus. (And those are hardly there, anyway.)
Don't worry, Buffy, I'll still love you if you look like Dr. Saunders. (Maybe even more, because Dr. Saunders is nice.)
