I like it, I, I, I like it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL RADCLIFFE!!! :D Alcoholism + seeing HBP for a 2nd time = BEST WAY TO CELEBRATE AMIRIGHT?!
Yes, that’s right. I just got back from seeing HBP a second time (zomg I can’t believe I actually liked this film enough to see it a second time guys! I know, miracles do happen!), and I cried like a little bitch at the end, my heart broke as I watched both Draco and Severus struggled with themselves to kill Dumbledore. And I somehow liked Dumbledore more the second time round, so I was genuinely upset when he died. ;_;
This time round, I had so much fun checking out the background characters. At first I was about to break out BITCHSAYWAT?! When I saw KATIE FUCKING BELL in the Potions class at the beginning of the movie (SHE’S OLDER THAN HARRY DAMMIT!!) but then I was checking out the Quidditch scenes properly, and they are seriously amazing. During the actual match against Slytherin, you see Dean and Ginny flying around there somewhere, AND Blaise Zabini is even there for a second. I didn’t see any Draco or Harry though ;_; BUT! If you look out in the crowd, you notice McLaggen getting gradually more bitchy and sulky about the fact that Ron is a good Beater. XDD; AND you can see wee Neville in the background, acting all Gryffindor-ish. There’s even a scene in the Great Hall (after Ron breaks up with Lavender) where you can see Seamus eating/talking with a Slytherin (? Ravenclaw?) on the table behind, and it made me think of ‘house mixing’. I mean, its not mentioned all that much between the Trio in the books, but obviously most of the characters have friends in other houses and would go off and sit with them, so I thought that was a really awesome nod to that. :D way to actually think about subtlety WB! I am impressed!!
OHOHOH speaking of subtle - anyone else notice the other Death Eaters at the end? They’re going to be the Hogwarts Resident Death Eaters (the real short and real tall blonde one). I got seriously excited when I noticed, because they actually seem to fit the characters that are described in the books. AND THEY WERE AT THE TOWER. LIKE HARRY SAID. ZOMGEE I CAN’T BELIEVE THERE IS BOOK!CANON! I am so excited for DH now. Especially after watching Tom and Alan act … they are going to be amazing in DH. I am going to break down in hysteria when Snape dies, I know it. And Tom is going to pull off Draco’s good-evil dilemma so well.
But oh my god, you thought my last entry talking about the gayness of the movie being obvious … second time round was even worse! There wasn’t even any subtext in it! They just break out the gei in every bloody scene! RONHARRYDRACOSNAPEDUMBLEDORESLUGHORNORGYSAYSWAT?! Seriously, tone it down a little guys. Or better yet - get a room already! Jesus.
Ginny still needs to die. Right now. Kthx. Luna rules the earth and should be made Head Witch in Charge. The end. :D
And so I am off to write up my Merlin fanfiction. YES. CAN YOU BELIEVE I ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE TODAY. WHILST WAITING FOR HBP TO START. AND I EVEN HAD WORK TO DO AT WORK!! WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE?!
ETA FOR SELF: Guess what self? This here post has all of the ITV's coverage of the HBP Behind the Scenes. And guess who hosts it? That's right, Mr Ben Shephard. WHOM I HAVE MET! He hosted the 'Who Dares Sings' reality TV show last year, that *I* happened to be in. I feel uber good right now, because he's just one more person I had add to the 'well known Brits that I've met' pile. :D :D [/edit and bragging XD]
