Missed It by 74 Days
Time for yet another "Gee, it's been a long time since I wrote here" post. Gee, it's been a long time since I wrote here. Now, formalities aside...
I've been slowly setting things up on Facebook. Frankly, I don't think I'll ever be too prolific on posting and interacting there; it seems mildly amusing enough, but when I need mildly amusing, random wandering through Wikipedia seems to do the trick. Honestly, I've got enough various hobbies and activities to keep me plenty busy, busy enough even to never have time to update here. But, since it seems some folks might be actually halfway interested in what I'm doing with my life, I may make somewhat of an effort to occasionally speak up and say hi.
Probably, I could spend quite a while longer posting tonight, since I'm doing nothing particularly useful, but I think I'm going to wrap it up for now. Don't want to over-stress my typing fingers, y'know? Besides, I'm watching one of my rare basketball games on the TV right now. I typically don't watch sports unless I'm just in the mood, but I'll make an exception for when the local team is in the playoffs. Of course, that means I've been watching a lot more than usual the last few years. As I write this, they've finished three quarters, and the local guys are up by seven. I guess we'll know soon enough if they can hold on. Not that any of you likely care, nor do I particularly. But I'm supposed to root for them, right? After all, why wouldn't I prefer the millionaire players who signed contracts with local millionaire owners over millionaire players who signed contracts with millionaire owners who live somewhere else? These guys are clearly better, aren't they?
