Comikaze 2011!

Nov 06, 2011 08:24

I am exhibiting and selling my artwork at Comikaze 2011 this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 5-6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. If you were planning on going to this fun cosplay, gaming, comic books, and anime convention, come check out my table at Table 7 near the left-middle entrance!

Also, this might come a little late to The X-Files fans, but here's hoping this may benefit somebody. I sit across the aisle from a woman named Kimberly Halizak, a former PA on the show, who has a stunning collection of The X-Files rare memorabilia. And I mean rare posters, uncut sheets of trading cards, great condition magazines featuring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, beautiful art books, original drafts of scripts, actual pictures from location scouts, etc. A really, really great collection, a treasure trove of The X-Files history.

All for great prices. I picked up two rare magazines for only $2, and she threw in a great glossy of Mulder and Scully, for free. She is really keen on getting rid of EVERYTHING, and she wants this stuff to go to real fans, and not people who are only thinking of reselling to make money.

So if you're interested in a piece of The X-Files history, run not walk to Comikaze 2011! Door prices are really reasonable for such a great convention. If you buy tickets online, I believe it's only $12, but at the door it's not that much more, if that.

If you are not in the region, and would not be able to attend, I will be happy to pick something up for you if you let me know what you are looking for. I cannot guarantee anything, though. Given the traffic at my table yesterday, I will be very, very busy today.

But if you are in the LA area, you should come down. This kind of collection is not seen very often, and probably won't be seen for a very long time, if ever.
