The Uni network is down which means no email which means I cannot do anything! -- well, any of the things I had planned to do which involve email. Hence: LJ!
Let's see... CAOS concert on Saturday went pretty well, choir sounded good, we made it through a fairly challenging programme and didn't slump halfway through it (which I sort of felt we did last Spring Concert). Some mysteries will never fully be explained like why at the concert there are always suddenly twice as many sopranos as there ever are at rehearsal (including some I swear I've not seen at a single regular rehearsal and one or two I didn't even see at the dress rehearsal INCLUDING THAT MORNING) and singing twice as loudly (piano, guys. It exists) or why there's always someone who makes that obvious mistake (rubber duckie, I'm awfully fond of yo-OOPS... YOU boo-boop, be-doop!) even though I've said a dozen times to write it in; but the fact that I can be picky about little things like that means that overall the standard was very good and, I think, a level above anything we've achieved so far.
Then on Sunday I had six-and-a-half hours of rehearsal (two different rehearsals, at least) and went to see Star Trek. Very watchable, reasonable plot, plenty of fun even for someone who's never seen the original series/movies; officially Not Bad :)
Yesterday our summer project students started and I had, as usual, too much to do; and this morning I can't do any of it, but I am only here for the morning because in the afternoon I am getting my bike serviced and doing my Emergency First Response course at the dive shop, huzzah!
