The good news is that the memorial service went really well. Everyone was on their best behaviour and I got to reconnect with some family members I've longed missed. I didn't get to go up and say good bye to the mountain, but I hold out hope that can be done on another trip.

The weather has finally gotten to the point where thinking about working in the garden doesn't fill me with dread. So I've been spending a little bit of time outside, keeping the early starting weeds at bay, tidying up some of the beds and generally just keeping an eye on things. I suppose my first thought was disappointment that they didn't tie it in with the existing oyster card system and instead issued me with yet another thing for me to keep up with. That aside the dongle/key thing fits neatly on a key chain, so that makes it easier.
