Back in London
We arrived safe and sound back in London yesterday afternoon, about 5.5 hours later than scheduled. While this was rather annoying, it turned out just fine with lines at immigration being much shorter than usual and not having to fuss with luggage during rush hour. Also, it was doubly good that we flew on a Monday rather than our usual Tuesday, because almost all flights in today were cancelled. So, hurrah for the small things.
And a great big THANK YOU! for all the people we got to see and visit with over the last week; for the hosting of various fantastic gatherings, many laughs and re-connections. You guys rock. A heartfelt Thank You!! also to all you on *this* side of the pond who offered so many generous and kind invitations when it looked like we might be spending our holidays here. It is such a blessing to have so many lovely friends on both sides of the pond.
But now it is back to life as normal, albeit recharged and ready for what this next year might bring. Lots of thoughts rattling around in my head, but first I need to finish this Criminal Law reading (turns out we DO have classes this week - eep!), and talk raayat into some theatre tickets (which are on SALE!!! and I'm kinda theatre starved. . .)
