happy new president!
yesterday TWO passports arrived in the mail! they apparently needed the first one as "citizenship evidence" and returned it when they were done with it. This whole process would have caused me so much less grief if they could have managed to impart that to me at the start. But anyway, I have my new passport, which means I get to go to the guards and ask for a work visa now.
Speaking of, Joanna came by my class this evening to ask what the status was with my visa and if I could be employed 40 hours on that one and whether I was planning to go back to the states... so I think they like me. I also applied to another school, though, which claims they pay above-average rates. Depending on experience. We'll just have to see what happens. For the next week and a half, I'm super happy. And then it's my second-to-last original student's last day (and here's my bias, he's definitely one of my favorites). We'll be having a party.
And guess what? Barack Hussein Obama is my president.
