i'm the one to make you feel

The thing with Diarmaid is officially ended- as predicted, he agreed we'd trickled off to nothing, and was decently glad I'd taken the effort to confirm it. And then we chatted for a few minutes, I mentioned Jens, and yeah. It's okay. So that's a huge weight off my shoulders. I keep thinking of things to do with Jens, things to show him, things we have yet to experience together, and (he says it's out of character for him) he keeps telling me there's no rush. He's right, and I know it, but I'm still just so eager to share everything with him. The plus side of there being no rush is, of course, getting to know him really well as we do more and more stuff. Is that what a healthy relationship is like?

I'm not going to D's birthday party tonight, either... just not up for it. But I still want to go to another canoe club party at some point; they are fun, just not every weekend. And not this one, when I'd only go if I went with someone else just because of the friends' assumptions and my own worry.

Yesterday I bought over-door hooks and a full-length mirror at Argos. Today my pecs are way sore from schlepping the mirror from Stephen's Green down to my bus stop at Townsend Street. I forgot how it feels nice to be sore. The mirror's really nice. I just have to hang it, and then I think I'll be entirely set with everything in my room.

Googlefest 08 was a total blast. I met Jens's colleagues and they're all awesome. The party was amazing! Inflatables (that is, bouncy castles and bouncy-ball races) and a silent disco (where everyone wears headphones tuned to one of two channels), three bands, a Bud free beer tent, karaoke tent, salsa tent, tea party with cupcakes, Segway rides, Wii area... they rented out an entire dog racing stadium to fit all this stuff in. Because it started at 4, it ended at 11. Afterwards we went to Gerard's house and chatted in front of the TV, and when MTV Cribs was over we came back to mine. Gerard is a character like Mounia from work- just fun to be around and really funny. Of course, J had to get up for work Saturday morning. Boo.

Today I went to the farmers' market, which was insanely jammers (mostly with people looking for the Chocolate Festival, which is mostly on tomorrow), then met up with Maddy from my Irish class to interview her. She came into town with her boyfriend, and after the interview J came from work and met us and we all went to dinner together. It was awkward because neither Maddy nor her guy spoke too much, and they're much more understated than me and J. They have the right; they've been together for six years. Still... weird.

My computer battery's so dead that the power light is now just constantly flashing. I really need to get it looked at.
