I have tendonitis in my toe. It's been raining the past two days, and
akakat is here, and she's agreed to sublet in our place after she moves out of UCD next week, and according to facebook no one is showing up to our housewarming except Rossa, and I still have to get my life in order. But I'm moving everything tomorrow. I have almost all my stuff in bags- my room still has its character because I haven't taken down the decorations yet. Apart from that there's very little left to pack up- after a few trips of schlepping, tomorrow will be for cleaning. And Zuzana, an ex-student who I've been tutoring for an English exam, invited me to a movie with some friends of hers. I picked up that computer desk I mentioned earlier (with the help of K and a big van taxi) and realized that the heater in my new room is in exactly the least perfect place- it makes the corner alcove unusable, when it'd be perfect for that desk. I'll survive- and the best part about the desk is that if I don't like it, it's light enough to move around with no trouble at all.
OH AND PS i found, of all things in all places, gefilte fish balls in Marks & Spencer in the refrigerated section for snacks. Next time I'm there I have to brave them to see if they live down to gefilte standards.... cause seriously. I also looked for a hechsher, to no avail. Why would anyone non-kosher want these things? Also having to do with food: the bakery halfway between school and new-home. They sold me rye; even sliced it! I've tasted the ends of the loaf and it's no Pechter's, but I'm willing to stay judgement until I toast it and eat it with butter in the morning.
Also, after tomorrow I won't have internet access at home until Wednesday at the earliest. Of course, the tv/internet people "can't find the address" I gave them so it may be delayed. I'll just spend every waking minute in front of a Trinity computer. Life could be worse.
