I haven't updated in a long time, and I don't honestly have the time to now -- class starts in 8 minutes, but it's right next door so here's a quickie letting y'all know that I haven't died.
I do think the "euphoria" phase of moving here has started to wear off -- so to combat that, fate has gone and found me some awesome friends and a potential BF. He has higher hopes about it than I do. Fancy that.
Anyway, his name is Avi (though in other places you can recognize him as Ruaidhri), and he's Jewish, and Irish, and he once was a rugby player. and thus is built like a rugby player. Not my usual type physically or non -- he doesn't wear his brains on his sleeve (that is to say, he's not a guy to show off his intellectual side right away). But hey, he likes Heroes and old tv shows about the Napoleonic wars. He makes a decent chili and knows how to do bread. I'll keep him around! he just had the idea to dress up as the Hebrew Hammer and his chickie for Halloween. SCORE!
(I might want to come up with a different costume to wear during the day.... I don't think too many people here know who Esther Bloomenbergansteinenthal is.)
I see the Sox won the ALCS... which is good. we can SOOOO whomp them again. my pennant t-shirt is on its way from Denver. YEE-HAW
