oh, but chametz is lovely. after a buttload of unnecessary drama, me and 2seat and wifey and Laura had Thai. now I'm full on basil pasta! and cocoa almonds. and chicoryful decaf chai. Celestial Seasonings must have a thing against Passover; every tea of theirs I own contains soy lecithin or chicory.
that party I'm having on Saturday: dry and on-campus, or wet and at my place? (downside of campus = pretty likely not to have booze. upside: more room and people will be more willing to go. upside of my place: booze. no time or volume limit. downside: people don't want to schlep, even on the branvan.)
tomorrow night, 9:15: TCFI at the Positive Foundations coffeehouse. We're debuting a novelty and singing Sea of No Cares again. Who'll I see there?
2k tomorrow morning. I'm worried again that I won't break 8, especially considering the condition of my lungs after the last of this morning's 8-minute pieces. New inhaler (cause I left the old one at home and it's going in the mail tomorrow) makes me hyperventilaaaate...
anyway, I'm setting the erg for projected total time and GOING. Fuck it. Yes, I can.
this morning's scare (besides me not being able to breathe): adam's launch engine doesn't go in reverse, so to prove it he pulled up alongside us and cranked the gear all the way fast in reverse, and went nowhere. Suddenly his engine changed "reverse" into "forward" and he came speeding RIGHT towards the middle of the Mai Resa. I got a cut on my hand stopping that damn boat.
Also, I really don't like Ryan. Last night was such a fucking scramble, we asked Cara and Jen L and Andrew from novice year to come in this morning because Liz quit, Cantay quit and Mike's not back yet. We brought in people who haven't rowed for three years and when we get there, Ryan decides first that Brett and Dan are taking out a pair and Nate is erging, so we didn't need Andrew at all, and then changes his mind again and has ALL FOUR of them erg. we had an entire guys' boat, figuring things out until 10pm, brought back WAY old alums who were willing to do it and he fucks them over. He didn't make anyone come back for spring break, and under him SO many of the guys have quit. It's my opinion that he's not invested enough in this team to be called an assistant coach. I have no idea if he's at all effective. OY. anyway, enough about that -- that's why we have ellen as our coach.
at least masa is doing his dishes from the past two weeks.
