and the drama? rather manufactured. not quite as campy as the Japanese, but still really funny.
and I didn't before realize that they stole Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto from The Original. the bastards.
I was gonna go to sleep at 11, you know. Darn you, Food Network!
ETA: I woulda voted for Chef Cora, who lost by .1 point. I loved her theme of "street foods," and all of her platings were inspired.
Foods I would have liked best to taste:
Samosas
Tamales with BEEF chorizo, served in newspaper & paper bags
Pizzettas on pita dough, shoestring potatoes; served with a shot of beer
Steak tartare burgers (Paris style with a quail egg atop), served on wood palettes with an array of sauces
from the challenger:
Consomme with soba noodles
Potato ravioli with beef, arugula, sundried tomatoes, cheese inside
makes me hungry, no matter what or how much i just ate.
