from work

so I'm in the new office, but just killing time. My day ended about 45 minutes ago, but my dad and I share a car and it wouldn't have made sense for me to drive home only to be there for 15 minutes before having to drive back to pick him up. So instead I'm messing around online and not getting paid for it.

it's weird being in an office. I feel so.... official.

anyway, things are boring here. I'm doing stuff like punching holes and filing papers. but if it earns me $10 an hour, I'm in.

last night I dreamed I was in UCD again. Drama and I and, actually, second_batgirl (or maybe it was that the two kept changing between each other. odd, as they really aren't like each other at all.) were trying to take a bus into city centre, but were afraid we'd missed the last bus at 11:30am. It was a rainy day. I think it was my birthday again, and I was broke and hoping for Margot to buy me drinks. We got on a bus that said 3 on it, which for some reason I knew was going to get me to city centre. I paid with American money. And as I got on, the bus's number changed, but I didn't know it. (Makes sense, as the bus loop in UCD is where bus routes terminate and a bus's number will change.) So it started going through Clonskeagh (which is funny, as I never went that way... I take it back, I think I saw the road/area twice) and my mind had a ball making things up for that. I realized we were not headed on the familiar route to city centre, and got off in some wool shop, wondering how I'd get into city centre (I'd lost Drama and Margot at some point on the way... I think Drama got on a different bus, but I don't know about Margot). Suddenly I found myself across the street from Red Rocks and an Aircoach stop. Tried to hail the Aircoach from the opposite side of the road (I wasn't sure which side the cars would be driving on, as it was an American road but Irish cars. turns out they were on the Irish side), and he stopped. I asked the driver if he went by UCD, and he said no, but he didn't know of any other buses that would get me back to UCD this late (even though it was still no later than about 3 in the afternoon), so he was trying to figure out how to swing by UCD for me.

dream ended there. what a crazy amalgamation of Dublin, Deis, and Denver!

firewall here won't let me get to facebook, bebo, Brandeis mail or gmail. but I will still have AIM express.

dreams, work
