the library is completely packed. must be the post-spring-break "OH GOD EXAMS ARE SERIOUSLY COMING SOON" rush.
I found the library's section on Irish. And it's refreshingly close to both the computer area and the section on linguistics.
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
in other news, it's been rainy for the past two days. Ashley and I composed variations on a familiar theme:
A: "Rain, rain, go away--"
F: "No, you can stay till May."
A: "Oh, yeah, it'd be better that way."

RAY JACKENDOFF IN CONCERT
From Ray:
I want to invite all of you to a concert I'm giving at Tufts on Sunday, April 30, at 4 pm, with pianists John McDonald and Yehudi Wyner, violinist Irina Muresanu, and violist Beth Guterman.
The program includes the Mozart trio for clarinet, viola, and piano; Bartok Contrasts for violin, clarinet, and piano; pieces by Stefan Niculescu and Dan Dediu from my CD; and a really cool piece by John McDonald.
It's in the Aidekman Arts Center at Tufts, walking distance from Davis Sq.
The concert is a benefit to support an award in the math department honoring my late friend Marty Guterman, who taught at Tufts for over 30 years (our violist is his daughter). donation is $20, or for students $10.
and if anyone wants to bring along any sort of gadget for recording purposes, I wouldn't rat on you...
p.s. by the glory of AIM, I'm now talking to someone in America, someone in Ireland, and someone in China. I love the internet. and the one in Ireland just told me to meet him to feed seagulls at the lake instead of going to class. And I think I'm going to do it.
p.p.s. by the glory of itunes, I've now listened to the music of Bell X1, and they sound like Wilco (from the little-to-no exposure I've had to Wilco) -- i.e. very much chill, like, music to fall asleep to. How people deal with concerts of these groups is beyond me. but i DID steal Gold Digger and Sweet Dreams. and this is all that matters in life.
that and Diarmaid just said we should go feed the seagulls by the lake instead of going to class.
what if I'm snatched from under Peter's nose?
