first, another plug: my
photos are really worth a look now. I've gotten more seder photos up and Paddy's is as done as it's gonna get. Maaaaaybe next I'll work on Europe over there, but I really should put them up on the link I send to all the family first. Anyway, though, the lessthanthree of my life is there. Yeaaahhhh. So.
Number two: I'm starting work now! For real. All of my papers and work are spreading around the common room. My essay for Feargal is going to be about Gricean maxims and I already have a 6-page-long, 2-year-old essay for Janet about Grice and ethnocentrism that I'll revamp, re-focus, and lengthen for Feargal. As for Bettina's essays, they should be okay. They're 500 words each, two of them. I need to get my ass in gear re: the one for Máire's class, though. I have a presentation on the Gaelscoileanna on Friday, and 5-10 pages by the end of term. Plus, if I so choose, two archaeology essays by the end of term. Which is in like two weeks.
Holy Crap. I swear, yesterday was like the middle of January. Right?
This also means that I have less than a month left to be 20. I'd better take advantage of only being of legal drinking age everywhere in the world except America. But not until after Thursday sunset.
Ash had Easter dinner tonight and I was able to eat a sweet potato, salad, and broccoli. But then I made broccoli-cream-cheese soup afterwards, and it's salty but overall okay, considering that I had no idea what I was doing.
I miss bread and beer.
While searching for kosher-by-default ice cream downstairs, I discovered that Bounty ice cream bars are kosher for the rest of the year. This makes me giggle and means that I'll buy one the next time I want an ice cream bar. They're a big thing here. Everyone's been eating them ever since the weather got sortof-warm, and now even more of everyone is eating them.
Ash and I are going for that jog together tomorrow morning. Now I'm excited. I even know what I'm wearing. And right now I keep looking out the window, expecting to see rain but not. The trees are starting to bloom! The first reaches of spring are here!
yeah, going to work on essays now.
