I'm alive!!
Things have been crazy busy around here lately. We had two 4-day weekends in a row, so you'd think that we'd be all rested up, but you'd be wrong to assume that.
We headed home Saturday before Christmas and spent the weekend. It was such a nice weekend, but went entirely too quickly. Joshua and I are constantly reminded how blessed we are. After about four separate family Christmas celebrations, we made our way back to O'Fallon with a car full of stuff. As we were pulling out of the driveway, I made the comment that next year we would have a baby in a carseat and all of HIS goodies to fit in there too. Joshua's only response was "we need a bigger car."
Joshua got be a beautiful diamond ring for my right hand and a diamond/white gold necklace. He's such a good guy. I also got enough money to buy the fancy little digital camera that I've had my eye on...now, if only Best Buy could keep it in stock!
I had to work Wednesday through Friday after Christmas, which proved to be the longest 3-day week ever! Sunday, I came down with a cold/flu and have been in bed ever since. We had plans to go out with Joshua's friends on New Years Eve and I hated to ruin the plans, so I stayed at my parents house and played board games with Mom and Amber while he went and saw a movie.
I had plans of getting up and going to work this morning, but barely had a voice whenever I woke up. So, after very little encouragement from Joshua, I called in sick. So, now I'm sitting here in bed, watching tv with two very lazy cats sprawled across my feet and trying to decide what to make myself for lunch.
Well, that was a bunch of random tidbits from the last week or so...but at least you're all caught up. That is, if anyone reads this anymore.
