The Cake
As promised...for all my viewers and for the readers of this special blog...I maanged to get inside to get a look at the cake. And it is a very impressive cake. It is eight teirs high...and took 5 weeks to make.
It is made of seventeen fruit cakes...12 of which are on the bottom. It's white cream icing and there are 900 leaves and flowers, makign up 17 different kinds...
Everyone is working together at the last minute to make it all work.
This is the whole cake. It's very pretty.
This is a really close close up...I want to learn to make frosting flowers like that. Maybe I'll go take a class on it when I get back home.
But now that it's all over, I managed to talk my producers in letting me stay a couple more days before going back home. It will be a nice little vacation.
