Happy Mashed Potatoes Night!
I would say Happy Thanksgiving Day... but I like the Mashed Potatoes best, and, it's no longer daytime...
Hope everyone enjoyed spending time with their family and friends.
I wasn't going to do the typical "I am thankful for" entry, but what the hell?! They have you do it every year in elementary school, right? It must be worth something!
Sooo. I guess I'll do top 10.
10) Games/Creativity -- Photography, poker, Guitar Hero, art, logic puzzles, poetry, crosswords, board games... gotta love it all. Basically, I appreciate anything that helps me procrastinate (for 10 hours straight, without boredom) when I'm in need of some procrastination. :)
9) The Internet -- for keeping me in touch with the people I care about, for helping me waste time, for myspace, facebook, LJ, online poker/games.
8) A growing self-awareness -- just thankful for the ability to come closer to understanding/accepting some of my faults, issues, strengths, etc. with each life event.
7) Dreams/Goals/Future -- happy & thankful that I still dream, that I haven't given up completely when things have been really crappy.
6) Good Food -- Mucho importante. Sadly, one of my greatest joys is good food! I <3 comfort food items the most.
5) Good Music -- Thankful for the ability to hear it, play it, semi-understand it. Even more thankful for the way it affects me.
4) A house/car -- A car to get me to work, a house to come home to when the work's done. Wouldn't be much without these.
3) My Animals -- I have some of the cutest, sweetest, most loving babies in the world. They are always there to give me kitty/doggie lovin when I need it most ...
2) My Family -- Yeah, sure, I rag on my mom. But she has always been there in the end. And my grandparents are the best. I am so thankful that they are still here. Then there's my crazy aunt ... when the rest of my family thinks I'm the spawn of Satan, she's there to tell them how ridiculous they are.
1) My Friends -- They mean more to me than anything right now. I am soo grateful for them, and for my recent friendship "epiphany." Marisa, Mego, Mrs. Doucha, Lyle, Christy, Jess, Paige, Dara, EJ, Paul, Amy (MIA!!), Tanya, Laura, Briana, Jenn. Their love, support, time, hugs and laughter keep me going.
