Military John
For UM, SpectrUM, for anyone that ever knew him, the world is so much bleaker after losing him. He was so genuine, and had one of the cutest, warmest smiles on earth. He was fun, goofy, awkwardly cute, witty and always approachable. So easy to talk to or be around.
This is such a hard thing to understand. Only 22 years old. No rhyme or reason. Random, freak, horrifying. He had so much love to give.

our online conversations in the middle of the night were the best... only a few rooms away, insomniacs unite!
cute memory... both of us being slightly drunk, coming home to our floor in pearson. i was, for some reason, laying flat out on the floor in the hall talking on the phone. you decided it would be a good idea to sit on my stomach and play .25c pony ride. i almost puked. :) but we laughed forever...
i wish that we had talked more in the past few months while you were away.
it's hard to find such genuine happiness in a person. you were kind, lighthearted, honest and incredibly caring.
i will miss your smile most of all.
