Adventures in Procrastination

Today has gone reasonably well thus far, especially as I was only 3 minutes late for my lecture. Not bad considering I woke up at 10.25 for my 11am start :). It was, however, an unusually dull seminar concerning relics, martyrdom and violent paintings. Lots of Caravaggio then. And a bit of Artemisia Gentileschi thrown in for luck - everyone loves a good rape story. I normally really enjoy my Early Modern lectures but today just didn't grab me, possibly due to the fact that my friend and ally, Isadora, was absent due to some rather worrying developments in her personal life - my hands STILL smell of TCP after that little adventure. I arrive home (in the pouring rain of course) to discover that my flatmate (Lizzie) and Chenaye (visiting) are still asleep at 1.30pm. I am filled with jealousy, and so behave very maturely and wake them up by shouting. Of course :). There are vague plans to head Camden-wards for shopping and milkshakes, but the rain is putting me off somewhat. Also, despite my attempts to ignore it, I have a rather large pile of work looming and an interview on Wednesday to prepare for. But Chenaye is only here today and Andy will arrive later (after which there will be no point even trying to work), so I am thinking of simply writing today off in terms of studying. Hopefully the interviewers will just be blinded by my natural intelligence and let me in without discussing my dissertation........
