Great news!
So, my mom calls me this morning, at about 11 or so. Get this:
SHE IS DONE WITH CHEMO!!!!
The doc told her at her morning appointment. She is doing really well, and her chemotherapy is not really making much of a difference anymore. So they're going to take her off chemo and her steroids, and give her a drug that will get rid of any estrogen left in her system, which will most likely kill off the cancer that's left. Then it's on to radiation. She's by no means cured yet, but at least she's not going to be miserable anymore. No more open sores in her mouth or on her hands. So when my sister gets back from Chicago next week (she's on a church trip), we're going to celebrate. Art, the little boy and I had a great night, but I'll write about that tomorrow. I'm still giggly over my momma.
