Random thoughts for March 7th
Do you know what I'm watching on the Science Channel right now? Worm pr0n. No, really. They're taking to this German scientist who films worms mating with a redlight camera. Aaaand now they're showing electron microscope photos of what worm skin looks like after sex.
There are so many horrifically crude jokes I could make about this, except that my family tree contains a heck of a lot of Teutonic names, so I probably shouldn't.
"Mom? If you were in a German 'scheisse' video, you'd tell me, right?"
Also, not sure if I mentioned this, but I learned that at the 2009 MarsCon, the musical guest of honor will be Wally Pleasant. Let me tell you, in 1993, one of the hottest musicians on WBGU was Wally Pleasant. All 7 of us who listened to our college radio DJ friends' shows loved it when they played him. So learning this fact made me bounce up and down and squee, while my friends stared at me like I'd grown an extra head. Wally Pleasant, man. Ode to Detroit? Hippie's Lament? Stupid Day Job, with the hilarious Morrissey imitation? I Hate Cops? How I Got Lost On the Road Less Traveled But Then Got Instant Karma on I-96? I am going to have to put up some MP3s, in the hopes of enticing people to buy his CDs.
