It amazes me how long I can procrastinate when it comes to posting on this thing. Usually I remain silent because I don't do anything but that is not the case either. I was just lazy. So here is one big most for the past month.
First there was AWA. I'm not really into the anime scene anymore but I still enjoy going to anime conventions, just because you meet the best people. I got to see my friends from UF who I miss dearly. I wish I had been able to spend more time with you all. <3. Same with Fuji-san and Jirou-san and Belle-san from AL
I also going to meet new people this year. Saturday I went as Puck from Airmyu. It was a lot of fun and I loved the costume but no one really knew who I was suppose to be. Except for, of course, the other Air Gear cosplayers. That was how I got to meet Akito and Agito, both of whom I love dearly. They were twins. Well not really but still. They were both really sweet and happy and just a little bit (okay a LOT) of ADD. Agito was also a big PoT fan and one of the first hardcore Kaidoh lovers I have ever met.
Almost everyone brought case, most thinking it was okay to wear them around con. Unfortunately no. It was a safety hazard. But Belle-san did talk them into letting us have a corner for photos. Thank you so much Belle-san.
Sunday I went as....in the end it was decided Fujimaru. I wanted to do Kikumaru but my hair has gotten too long to attempt to style. So I did a Fuji hairstyle. Problem is my hair is red. Those I was the result of Dream Pair. Oh well. Agito was Kaidoh. The best Kaidoh ever, just for how hyper she was. I love this girl. She is so random and contagiously happy....like sugar.
Bukurooooo!
We also tried to do a UkiUki pose but with everyone in skates that didn't work well.
Satuday PoT
This Silver Pair were so amazing. I loved getting to meet the Chotarou because I have admired her artwork online for the longest time. She was so funny. There were pics of her and the Shishido in Butt rape formation. It took so long to get Shishido to get a pic with the bear. She had the glare down pack.
Renji/Kirihara. Don't know if I ever even thought of that a couple before. But they were cute.
Renji's notebook isn't quite as big as Inui's because he knows short hand and can condense his notes.
Sunday PoT. I always seem to move just as the camera takes the pictures. Damn.
The following week was JapanFest. It used to be held at Stone Mountain and was really fun last time I went. This year there was a change in venue and was indoors. That is great encase of rain but it was hot and there was no room to move. The room also sold out really fast. The fun part was that a hallway was set up like a festival complete with your typical 100 and 500 yen toys. I bought a GekiRed mask. My friend thinks I'm crazy but that's okay. Love for GekiRanger and Zukki is still strong.
They events weren't as interesting either. There was a karate show which was neat but that was the only thing. The Sumo was crazy. A bunch of white guys with beer bellies in almost nothing. *was blinded* And there was a class on Ninjutsu which made me and this Japanese couple I met laugh. It amazing, out of everyone training to because a ninja, there wasn't a single asian person.
Yay GekiRed masks
And this past weekend was Atlanta's Asian Film Festival. Showing were $8 a show so me and a friends only when to one. And we learned something. Neither of us are ever watching a Filipino film ever again. It was so weird and crazy. You think through most of the film that they main girl is going to get together with this spiritual powers-seeking boy and leave their small village. Then suddenly out of nowhere her and her best girl friend suddenly become lesbians and decide to move in together and the main girl has the power seeking boy's baby. I didn't understand it at all.
I have been trying to make Bento boxes again for lunch...when I have time and wake up early...in other words maybe once a week. But its fun.
