Interesting stuff
It's been an interesting couple of days. Mostly good stuff, interspersed with some stress and drama. I was accepted to UMSL, so now I just have to give them a bunch of tax info so I can get financial aid, and then set up my schedule. I had an interview today at St Louis Community Credit Union, where my cousin works. It went exceptionally well. The woman who interviewed me was very impressed, and said she'd pass on my info immediately so they could get me in for my second interview. We now have food at the apartment, and planning the trip is going well. Things are looking up.
Now, my only question is, why am I so stressed out?
My mom found out about the engagement, because Harriet told her boss, and her boss told Mom. So now my mom is much more upset than she would have been had I just told her, which means I am much more upset than I would have been had I told her, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I steadfastly believe that God loves irony, and this is just one more thing to prove it.
