It was a classic idea. Really, there were no other words for the beauty of the thing. Well, there were, but they could hardly be bothered with. No, instead, it was more interesting to play with the man. No longer casual after getting decidedly odd gifts at unexpected times, the man was positively twitchy.
It was delightful.
Oddly, it wasn't delightful enough, because the sin found that it was funner to leave strange gifts the man might want than would horrify him. That wasn't part of the game plan in the least. In fact, it was more than a bit disturbing to find that there was any possible emotional investment at all.
That day had just been one example. The sin had found a good deal of pleasure in watching the man turn an admiring chit away when she tried to ask after his dating status. The sin had been more pleased when the gift left for the man was well received, even drawing a faint smile before that new, ever present, suspicion flit over his face.
Envy was more than slightly disturbed to find that the Flame Alchemist being suspicious wasn't something to be sought after. No, that couldn't be a good thing at all.
