Ellie woke up early that day, not realizing that it was only five in the morning before she sat up, realizing the sun hadn’t risen yet. She smiled at seeing the other one sleeping in her bed and decided to let him sleep. He rose early in the morning anyways, and she did have things to do today. One of those things was coloring her hair. She could do it in a more demon-like way, but she wanted to actually dye it. She got out of bed without disturbing him and went into the bathroom.
She was happy with the color she selected when she was out getting groceries. It was a nice red, a bit bright, but it would make her hair a nice copper color. At least that is what she hoped would happen. She had her hair dyed professionally before, but she wanted to try a bit on her own first. She read the instructions first and smiled at how easy it was. At least it was the no-drip formula so she didn’t have to sit in the bathroom for however long - twenty five minutes - so she could do other things. She smiled in the mirror as she got it all over her hair and put it up so it would stay in place. After setting the timer, she sat down for a minute before getting up and walking out of the bathroom. She had to put on the coffee for Balthazar, would be getting up for his job.
He was just waking up, not sure where Ellie had gone. He thought it was a bit early for her to actually be up, but he saw her walk out of the bathroom with…something on her head. He tried to look at the time, realizing the sun was just coming up on a Saturday. A Saturday he had asked her to actually take off, if she could actually do that, and it seemed like she hadn’t. Typical Ellie, he thought. He was a bit angry at her, but he couldn’t be for long. He loved her too much for that as he sighed.
Ellie paused as she heard the sigh, looking back at the bed. He doesn’t look like I woke him up, she thought as she moved around silently in the kitchen. She smiled to herself as she found his favorite coffee and started to make it. She looked at her watch and noticed she had a few more minutes before she had to take the color off. She opened the fridge and looked through the contents, pulling out everything she needed to make a breakfast casserole. She threw it together and put it in the oven when it was time. She went back into the bathroom to clean the color out of her hair.
Balthazar, in the meanwhile, stretched out on the bed as he watched her past. He knew it was odd for her to be up so early, but at least she was making him coffee and breakfast. A bit for herself as well, but he did wonder if she did forget. He wouldn’t know until he got up and asked her, but there was the comfort of not knowing, of hoping that she didn’t, kept him in her bed. He heard the shower going and heard it shut off for a moment before it started up again. He looked as he saw the red glow of the sun starting to come over the horizon, after all the purples and dark blues had been there. He heard the bathroom door open again and turned on his side to see her walk out of the bathroom again.
Ellie walked out again, her now copper red hair flowing down her back. Her white robe was open, showing that she wore her royal blue and black corset with the matching string panty and stockings. She reached behind her back to double check the bow she did in the back before she made sure that everything was closed in front.
He sat up on one elbow, smiling as he watched her. “You’re up early,” he said.
She gasped and turned around. “I didn’t mean to wake you.”
He grinned and motioned for her to come over to the bed. “I woke myself up when you weren’t with me. What are you doing up so early?”
She moved over and sat down on the bed. “I was getting ready for the day. Its Friday and…don’t you have to get up for work soon anyways?”
He chuckled and sat up, kissing her cheek happily. “Love, its Saturday.”
“It is?” She asked, shocked. “Are you sure?”
“yes, love, I am.” He said as he picked up his cell phone and showed her. “See, Saturday.”
“Oh,” she said and sighed. “Now I feel like an idiot.”
“It happens, forgetting which day it is,” he says as he kisses her shoulder. “I do hope you remember that you were supposed to give me today.”
“I remember,” she says with a smile. “Coffee’s probably ready, along with breakfast.”
“I think they could wait,” he says as he moves up and kisses where her shoulder meets her neck. “Don’t you?”
“Yes,” she whispered as she shivered a small bit, leaning back into him.
“Or we could wait until after breakfast,” he whispered into her ear as the timer went off.
“Tease,” she said quietly as she smiled.
“You do it to me plenty of times,” he says as he gets up and puts on his robe. He offers her a hand and helps her up.
“You’ve never complained before.”
“Never said I was,” he said with a grin as he pulled her close and lovingly kissed her lips. “Shall we?”
“Yes,” she said as she moved away from him and went into the kitchen to get their breakfast from the oven.
He sighed contently as he went after his vixen with the red hair.
