In a small window, there was a small movement.
You could miss it in a moment, nothing more than flick of light.
That's all it took.
Her head slumped over the back of the chair. Her eyes stared nowhere.
No voices spoke out. He just stood there, quietly, watching the oxygen redden her blood.
She was still breathing, her lungs climbed and fell, bigger and slower with every breath.
There was still hope.
He could save her.
No noise, no movement. He stayed till the sirens came and stole him away.
