Hello to the 3 people who still update these things! I haven't updated since May so I figured now would be a good time.
Started school last wednesday and so far I really think I am going to enjoy my classes. I feel so much more comfortable and feel as though I am in the right place by being in the art program as opposed to the psych program last semester. I really feel confident about this semester and the next 3 years.
I am taking:
Renaissance to Modern Art History which I really like so far. We basically just look at slides of art work, compare and contrast and kind of give our insight. My professor is cool and I really think I will get a lot out of this class, plus I LOVE the Renaissance.
Photography 1 again, but I am looking forward to it even if its the same material I learned at CCRI. Just as long as I get to go in the darkroom. I'm going up there on saturday all day to help my professor completely renovate the darkroom. It's in really sad shape I must say and has been completely neglected...especially coming from the one at CCRI which was awesome. But hopefully by helping to clean it out this weekend I will be less disappointed and will really get to know my professor better. She's awesome and I am definitely looking forward to working with her when I apply for my BFA.
Drawing 1 is actually going to be one of my favorites I think. Already met a few new people and I think I am going to like sketching and working with charcoal and such...I have always loved it but never pursued it. My teacher is a lot of fun, no idea how to pronounce his name or spell it, but he has everyone call him "Utzie" haha.
2-D Design is going to be alright for the exception of having to be at school for 8 oclock. I can't function that early haha. But I am looking forward to some of the projects in there.
So yeah, those are my classes in a nutshell. Definitely a lot more fun and free than statistics and behavioral research, BLAH. Just not my cup of tea.
Parking actually hasn't been a problem yet at all especially since I have all early classes. Getting through the traffic on the way to school is the worst fucking thing though. Between road construction, the new POINTLESS traffic light that backs up traffic so bad, and horrible johnston drivers its a zoo trying to make it to school. Spent $210 on art supplies, $100 on the photo supplies that I didn't already have, and $100 on a book. I am piss poor. But thats about it for the negatives so far.
Feeling better, but not 100%. Still getting tension/migraine headaches, still dizzy, still can't eat as much, but it has improved slightly. Still wondering what the hell is wrong, but I guess it will be a mystery...foreverrr. :(
Anyways, time to go sleep.
Peace.
