TM Prompt 222: Sleeping on the couch
Well, there was that one time when Fred’s bed exploded, and we drew straws and he got to sleep in my bed while I slept on the couch. I still don’t know how that happened. You’d think that if it were Fred’s bed that exploded, then he would be the one to sleep on the couch. Tricky git.
I’ll sleep on the couch when company’s over. Mum’ll try to squish Bill and Charlie in with me and Fred, and I’ll sneak out after everyone’s asleep because Charlie has the deadliest gas known to wizardkind, and it’s really too crowded in there. Then I’ll go sleep on the couch. Sometimes Bill will offer because whoever does that has to wait until everyone’s asleep, and they have to get up before Mum so she doesn’t find you there because then she’ll feel bad that there isn’t enough space. And he’s a good big brother like that.
But I don’t mind. Couches are pretty comfy. And I’ve gotten good at transfiguring the one in Fred and mine’s flat because it’s easier than just going to my room and going to bed. I’m tired after staying up late working on a new invention!
