(no subject)
So...work is kind of off to a slow start right now. People come in, looking for the old owner, and instead they find me. I guess it's a little...I don't know. Not-reassuring? To go in looking for an older, experienced man and find a teenager. The old man has been kind enough to stick around, helping out in the shop part a little, and he's doing his best to reassure potential customers, but... They're skeptical. And I kind of can't blame them. Maybe if I was using the Fuji name, because Dad has - or at least, had - a pretty good reputation....but I'm determined to do this without him, even if just his name.
I do have a couple of orders, though, that I'm currently working on, and tomorrow, I'm going to take in more of the things I made when traveling with Sensei, including the armor. Ojii-san thinks it'll help, to be able to show them what I can do.
In the meantime, I'm running a little tight on funds. It's not terrible, but considering I left part of my inheritance with Sensei's family for safe keeping - and Akihito-san promised to invest some of it, so that it keeps earning money even without me really doing anything - I have to budget things a bit.
Um...I don't know if you have one of the magic quills, Sakaki-san, so I'm not sure if you can read this...but maybe someone who knows you can pass the message along. If you're still interested, I'd like to take you up on that offer to breed Nocturne. He likes you, so I think he'll behave himself and...you know. Do what has to be done.
