I DID IT!
Finally, after being home for almost two months... I have secured a forge for myself!!!
I was out grocery shopping and exploring town a little more, when I came across one of the other blacksmith shops that I've been by once before, a long time ago. There was a sign on the door that said 'CLOSED PERMANENTLY', and I couldn't help but be a little nosey and peek in through the window of the shop. I couldn't see past the shop area, but it all looked like it was in good condition and everything... So I talked to some of the other shop owners around if they knew the owner, and one woman was kind enough to point him out to me. Apparently, he was shopping, too :)
I went up and talked to him, and as it turns out...he closed his shop because he's pretty old, and it takes too much effort for him to make things anymore, so he just retired. It was too perfect an opportunity to pass up, so... I asked him if he was interested in selling his forge and the shop....and well, to make the long story short, I'm meeting him tomorrow to get the property signed over to me and to give him the money, and show him some of the things I've done. :D He said that if I'm half as good as I seem to think I am, he'd be willing to help me out with some of the lighter tasks, just so he's not spending his retirement sitting on his bum all day. :D
I'm so excited!! I'm finally going to be able to work again!
