Water

Well here I am in the top end of Australia. Am very tired but have seen some marvellous things. Since they have just come out of the wet season and we are in the wet lands the copious use of water is amazing - sprinklers left on overnight, hosing down of hard services etc etc. THe Sydneyites and Melbournites on the tour just were gobsmacked looking at all that water. Here you think of NT being a dry state but not up at this end.

We have also seen lots of water in other forms. We went sailing on Darwin Harbour on a pearl lugger and tried on a diving helmet and watched the sun set. We have been swimming in billabongs and waterholes - but not with crocodiles. Went sailing on Yellow Waters (which weren't yellow and is part of South Alligator River but there aren't any alligators) Saw a Jabiru and its partner and its two chicks and about 8 crocodiles and lots of other wildife.

Saw some waterfalls, did lots of walking, lots of rock art and lots of trees but no wallabys or bunyips.

Anyway time to go!
