i can see....sortof
so...i should be getting the temporary contacts off tomorrow. once they came off i should actually be able to see, without it looking like im looking through vasoline or having to mess with all these drops. after all of this there are some things that i learned. first, my corneas are thin. this may not seem like a big deal but apparently all those years of having such a bad prescription has worn them down to the extent that i had to have prk instead of lasek. this just meant taht i still cant see completely 5 days after the surgery and i have to deal with all of these eye drops. the good thing about the surgery, and this is something that you dont get with lasek bc you dont need it, is that it introduced me to vicoden..which is my secont point. vicoden is my friend. it is especially nice when you have a little after dinner drink with it. vicoden has helped me survive the torture of 5 days of being unable to read or clearly watch tv/movies. 5 days without reading!! the inhumanity of it. it got so bad for me that last night i discovered that i could read if i held the book about 3 inches away from my face and squinted, through the holes in the plastic shields that i have to tape on my face everytime i sleep, and i still read for over half an hour. anyways, the moral of this story is get lasek if you can, and if you cant, enjoy your vicoden.
