**warning: this is the longest entry i've ever recorded...read on at own risk...
what a wonderful weekend! i don't think i could've asked for anything better in a weekend! it was simply amazing!!! i woke up on friday morning and packed my things and met at the crow house at 12. greg drove and shaun, kristin, john and ashley rode with us. it was a good time, but long. 5 hours. ick. we came up on the city and i saw all the tall buildings towering...it was sweet. i'd never been to chicago so this was a big deal for me! we almost ran out of gas, and shaun was driving, so he was looking for an exit and kept driving past all the ones with gas. we were really worried we were going to run out! luckily we pulled off at the next exit and found a gas station after driving around for a little bit. we go back to get on the freeway but we cant get on going west!!! needless to say we got lost and drove around for over 45 minutes until we FINALLY got back on track.
we pulled up to the hotel and it looked really nice. there was an outback steakhouse in it and we were excited about that! we checked in (greg and i were staying with wang chung and stephanie.) we decided it was time for some food. i had looked out our window and saw a hooters so we all decided to go there. i decided to stay in my sweatpants because i didnt think anyone else would change....WRONG! all the girls came back down looking cute and there i was looking ragedy...damn. we hoofed over to hooters and there was a 30 minute wait so we decided to just go to outback where we knew alot of people were. i was disappointed because i'd never been to hooters before...but oh well. we waited forever at outback but finally sat down and ate our food, which was delicious! after eating we went back to our rooms, gathered money, and went and got some booze! greg, ziggy, and i walked to dominiks to pick it up and discovered the walk was farther then we though. luckily we ran into steve, clayton, jamie, and allison because there was no way we wouldve been able to carry two 30 packs of busch light, a 24 pack of miller light, two half gallons of liquor, and four 2 liters of pop! we got back and started boozing! everyone decided to head into the city and go to the bars...so we all changed and got ready to take off.
after drinking 3 beers and 4 mixed drinks i was ready to go to the city. we had found an open conference room in the hotel and thats where we gathered to drink before hand. we went in waves and i was in the second one with about seven other people. the ride there took a while but i was wasted so i didnt care. i had to pee so bad and pilon and i hopped right off and were searching for something with a bathroom but had no luck. i thought i was going to pee my pants right in downtown chicago!!!! but we both made it until we arrived at millers pub where everyone else had already gathered. it was a great time and we all sat around and talked. i talked with some old people who knew the guy from the car accident earlier this year when the two girls died...it was weird. made me sad to start thinking about at that moment. but i shrugged it off with another drink. most everyone left to go back home but greg, me, wizzo, ac and his girl jenny, john and ashley all decided to head to a little bar called streeters.
we walk out of millers to find a homeless guys asking for some money. john asks "you gonna buy booze with that money?" "no i'm not" says the homeless guy. "then i'm not giving you any!" says john! haha...luckily wizzo was kind enough to give him a few dollars. so, the guys says hes going to find us a cab and books it down the street and gets us one. the guy pulls up and we all decide to pile in. three guys in the back with us three dates on their laps, and then wizzo in the front. it was hilarious. best cab ride ever! our driver was so funny and everytime wizzo tried to strike up conversation with him he'd turn up the radio! haha!!!!
we arrived at streeters and i used my, eh hem, "new" id. i got in and was pumped. we all headed straight to the bar and bought drinks. most expensive beer i've ever had. almost 5 bucks a bottle...damn. this was a little run down, hole in the wall kinda place...but fun as ever. it contained a ping pong table! haha, yes, ping pong. hilarious. the guys bathroom had a two way mirror so the guys taking a piss could see straight into the bar. kinda odd i thought. we stayed there for a while and had some good conversations with ac. i miss that guy. we shut down the bar at 4 and headed back home, once again all piling into one cab.
the ride back on the train was hilarious. ac was making us all laugh sooo hard. "boo that man" as soon as a guy stood up to get off. of course...all the guys start to boo...us girls just looked at eachother laughing while all the other people shot us dirty looks. and ac, "you got them rocks?" haha...funny shit. we got off and ac decided he had to pee. so he pees as he walks down the tunnel between the trains. greg decided he'd join! i dont even know!!!!
i passed out a little while after getting back and i didnt know where greg was. so, i went to bed and jokingly told steph and wang that i could sleep in an "X" if i wanted and i showed them how by spraling out. well, needless to say i passed out like that and when greg came to the room he had no room and couldnt wake me up. so he slept on the couch! i felt sooo terrible! but it was kinda funny. haha. i woke up with a severe hang over, took two ibuprofen and went back to bed for another two hours. i woke up and still had a headache. most people went into the city but it was rainy and i was not feeling too great, so i stayed at the hotel. wang chung, stephanie, john, greg and i decided to get some food at this little hot dog factory and then we went to hooters. we sat at hooters for a while and the guys drank three pitchers of beer. it was great and i was glad i got to experience the fine dining of hooters. steph and i left early and ran back in the rain to get ready. after getting ready it was dinner time. and of course we were all late. dinner went by fast and everyone changed right away. i said screw that, i just spent an hour getting ready, and i stayed dressed for the next three hours! everyone went out and got more booze and headed to the pool. greg, john, ashley, and i decided to get some drinks at the outback.
we sat down and ordered martinis and margaritas, aka."booze a ritas". it was delicious. we sat there for two or so hours and i had two margaritas, a martini, a different frozen beverage, and a 22 oz. beer. i felt good. we had a great time and just laughed our asses off about everything, especially when discussing the events the night before. then wookie came down in his swim drunks, tshirt with a little hawaiian print, black dress socks, and tennis shoes!!! haha! we laughed so hard! he was then dared to go out like that...for a few free drinks from ac and wizzo...and he did!!!
after outback we headed up and started drinking in johns room. after a while we started talking about going to a strip club...but that never happened. the party then headed up to me and gregs room. we drank, people played euchre, ordered pizza, watched tv (looked for porn for a while) and played around with wizzos breathalizer. it was a great time. steve bushong was wasted and jamie getty was cracking me up!! eventually it was time for bed.
we got up in the morning, packed our things, and headed home. we didnt get lost this time..thank heavens. after 5 hours we got back and i was exhausted. i wanted to sleep but had to go to work instead. i worked five hours and came home to do homework.
this weekend was amazing. i couldnt have asked for anything more. it was perfect. i hung out with people i love, experienced some of chicago's night life, and had an amazing time. i wish the weekend didn't have to end....
