Morgan and Jennifer in 'First Class'

X-Men: First Class (released everywhere today, June 3) might be one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer, but unfortunately, it didn't get a red-carpet premiere. The film features 11-year-old Morgan Lily and Jennifer Lawrence, 20, as the shape-shifting mutant Mystique as a child and a young adult.

Morgan released this statement about the film and the blue body makeup she wore as Mystique: "It was fun filming. A lot of special effects and long hours of prosthetic makeup work daily! Once the film is out then I will share a few behind-the-scenes photos. Unfortunately, it [the private cast screening] wasn't held in Los Angeles so since it wasn't local it was hard for me to get away. But it will be an amazing film to go see. I am looking forward to hearing back from everyone once you have seen it!"

A preview clip for X-Men: First Class released earlier this week shows a young Mystique (Morgan) meeting a 12-year-old Charles Xavier (Laurence Belcher) for the first time. Jennifer Lawrence said of Mystique's relationships with the film's two leading men, "Magneto to her is kind of this iconic man that's kind of the crush that she's always had and she admires him very much. Charles has always been like a brother to her."
