Starlets at the Eclipse Premiere
A glittering group of Hollywood's best and brightest young starlets turned out for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, held on June 24, at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. From youngest to oldest:
Willow Smith, 9, attended with her big brother Jaden. She certainly has unique taste for a kid, and while it sometimes goes wrong (as seen in the neon pink shoe-pants she wore to the Kids Choice Awards last March) other times, it creates a really cute, one-of-the-kind look, as seen in this fun, button-covered denim jacket.
Ruby Jerins, 11, showed up to support Robert Pattinson, who played her brother in Remember Me. Black-and-white oufits are fairly standard at Twilight premieres. (Madeline Carroll, Dakota, and Elle all wore black to New Moon; Kristen Stewart wore silver to both New Moon and Eclipse; Abigail Breslin, who attends the New York City premieres of most Twilight movies, usually wears black.) And it's obvious that for this premiere, Dakota, Elle, and Jodelle are sticking to the same color scheme. So Ruby gets a big A+ just for her bright, refreshing splash of blue!
Elle Fanning, 12, attended to support her big sister Dakota. Like most outfits at Twilight movie premieres, Elle's pant-and-shirt ensemble is heavy on black and white, but it's still a winner. The detailed, delicate lacework of the shirt is age-appropriate and ultra-adorable.
Jodelle Ferland, 15, plays ill-fated newborn vampire Bree in the film. Jodelle is a talented and beautiful young actress in her own right, but is anyone else getting major deja-vu to this black dress that Dakota wore to the New Moon premiere last year?
Dakota Fanning, 16, plays evil Volturi vampire Jane in the film. The good news is that Dakota looks lovely as usual. The bad news is... she looks lovely as usual. Nearly every dress she's worn to every public appearance in the past year has been either pale silver/gold or dark gray/black. I haven't seen her in anything colorful since the pink dress she wore to the premiere of Coraline back in February 2009. We know you're not a little girl anymore, Dakota, but that doesn't mean you have to throw everything bright out of your wardrobe.
Ariana Grande, age two days past 17.
Sarah Hyland, 19, who attended with her boyfriend Matt Prokop, also wore a brightly-colored dress -- and she gave a reason for it on her Twitter page: "Reppin purple today at the eclipse premiere for my Lakers :) gotta show the love!"
