You guys, if you love me AT ALL and don't feel any particular desire to vote for your own home town, please go to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine contest site and vote for Washington, D.C. to host the premiere of the movie. (You can use the zip code 20005 if you want - it's a central DC location.) Ask your friends to vote, too! Then maybe for once I ( Read more... )

YAYZ. I know, right? I couldn't come up with anything to rhyme with "Schrieber" but Liev Schrieber would be cool to see, too. Heh.

That site caused my browser to freeze a lot.

But I managed to vote for DC, since I have no particular need to see the premiere, and LA gets too many premieres anyway.

Oops, sorry! It didn't affect mine, so I didn't know.

Thanks for casting a DC vote! If I lived in LA I'd probably be less excited about the prospect, but here in lowly DC, we never see movie stars. Or very rarely, anyway. Heh.

Alright, but if Hugh Jackman gets assasinated, it's your fault.

The Eastern Seaboard is pretty crowded, so I don't know how any Rhode Island towns are doing in the standing, but if they have any sense, a resident of Rhode Island is just gfoing to enter "Providence". Don't waste your time with Woonsocket or Foster. Just enter "Providence". It won't take that long to get there. (And I mean, Providence and Newport are the only places in the state that could accomodate a premiere)

See, that's why I said DC versus Arlington - because DC is so much more likely to win.

I couldn't find any listing of how whichever towns are doing, so I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope. :)
