My day started horribly. I called to talk to Mrs. Kiefer, the friend of my grandmother's this morning. The number was disconnected. I googled on my phone to find her obituary. She died March 4th. She was 97 years old. Bill & I saw her last June and I had promised her I would come back this summer and visit her again. She died at a hospice. ( Read more... )

Crockpot is making dinner. Corned beef. I put it outside on the ledge to the kitchen window so that the heat isn't in the house. Spent most of the day designing menu for week and then the purchasing mass quantities. Tomorrow morning is the 5th Sunday so I'm making Cajun Potatoes for that.
