Ok, so... I've been going to the gym from the last month and a half or so, starting at the beginning of may. I've been more cardio centric than I ever have before, and it seems to be working very well for me at the moment. No injuries to speak of (although I did sprain the lateral collateral ligament slightly sitting in the car on the weekend(/boggle)).
Did my first weigh in last week, around wednesday. Scale read 225 or so, clothed, so I was looking at around 215 in acutal body weight. Weighed myself again today(post workout) and it was giving me 221.7, which is pretty reasonable. I'd like to continue to drop 2 to 3 lbs a week for the next 4 weeks or so, and then drop the cardio down to around 45 mins a day and focus a bit more on weights, and building up my muscle mass again.
The strength from previous lifting seems to be returning fairly well, I'm back up to reasonable weights in most areas except for lateral and posterior delts (which i always sucked at). I haven't really done much in the way of lower body yet, but with all the running on the elliptical I've been doing I've been getting definition back in my quads/hamstrings/glutes anyway. I'd like to grow the calves a bit more, but that's something that I really never managed to do in any of the weight lifting cycles that I've done in the past, so I dont' have high hopes.
